What you will do

• Set up and operate gear hobbing machines to produce gears to tight tolerances.
• Perform gear skiving operations for internal gears, splines, and complex profiles.
• Operate CNC lathes with live tooling and manual mills as required.
• Conduct gear inspections and document workflow, results, and non-conformances.
• Provide technical feedback to improve designs and manufacturing processes.
• Maintain shop equipment, inventory, and a safe, organized work environment.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in a related industry.
• Proficiency in gear hobbing processes, tooling selection, and machine setup.
• Hands-on experience with gear skiving for internal profiles and splines.
• Strong knowledge of gear geometry, tolerances, and quality standards.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and gear specifications.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and onsite environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with gear grinding operations.
• Fabrication and welding experience.
• Familiarity with metrology tools such as CMMs.
