Location: Onsite in Palmdale, CA 93550 (US Citizenship REQUIRED, Active Secret Security clearance issued by DoD REQUIRED, no relocation package)

$50/hr - $100/hr W2 (no health benefits/no paid PTO while on contract, an hour worked is an hour paid)

What you will do

• Develop and implement manufacturing processes and procedures for assemblies and equipment installation in a collaborative environment.
• Drive adoption of new technologies like automation, robotics, and CAM software for efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement.
• Create and analyze 3D model data to optimize manufacturing processes and digital work instructions.
• Define operations procedures and build sequences leveraging materials and automation knowledge.
• Evaluate equipment and tool performance, including IoT devices, and initiate corrective actions for deficiencies.
• Develop statistical process control using factory data and integrate reporting and analytics for continuous improvement.
• Provide input to product design on concepts and specifications to utilize manufacturing techniques effectively.

Requirements

• US Citizenship REQUIRED and Active Secret Security clearance issued by the Department of Defense REQUIRED
• BS degree + 9-15 years experience or MS degree + 7-13 years experience
• 5+ years experience in air vehicle systems (hydraulics, fuel, electrical, propulsion, avionics, etc.) – not structures or composites
• Aviation experience required
• Experience in manufacturing environment cross-functionally with industrial engineering, planning, QA, production planning
• Experience with manufacturing processes: assembly, machining, electrical harness fabrication/routing, systems installations, final assembly
• Previous experience developing visual work instructions for manufacturing
• 3 years recent CATIA V5 experience and 3 years recent Teamcenter experience
