Staff Product Designer (AI Search): Leading the strategy and end-to-end experience design for AI Search and foundational AI patterns across the product with an accent on trustworthy and explainable AI experiences. Location: Remote in Canada (excluding Quebec) and the USA. Candidates near hubs in Vancouver (Burnaby), Calgary, or Toronto are expected to work in the office at least twice per week.

Salary: $148,000 – $222,000 CAD

What you will do

• Own end-to-end experience design for AI Search, from discovery and framing to prototyping and high-quality execution.
• Define interaction models, patterns, and guardrails for AI experiences across the entire hirify.global ecosystem.
• Develop long-term experience visions and translate complex workflows into durable design decisions.
• Drive consistency by evolving design systems and shared frameworks across multiple product teams.
• Mentor and elevate other designers through coaching, constructive critique, and strategic role-modelling.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering leaders to set the vision for trustworthy and controlled AI intelligence.

Requirements

• 8+ years of Product Design experience, preferably in B2B SaaS.
• Expertise in designing AI-powered products, including a strong understanding of model behaviors and failures.
• Proven track record of establishing scalable AI design principles and patterns.
• Deep mastery of UX craft, including interaction design, information architecture, and visual design.
• Experience leading complex, cross-team initiatives and delivering cohesive solutions.
• Must be based in the US or Canada (excluding Quebec).

Nice to have

• Background working on AI platform or infrastructure products.
• Prior experience on platform teams with a track record of influencing other designers.
