TL;DR

Senior Product Designer (SaaS): Designing software for transit agency staff to manage real-time passenger information and ridership analysis with an accent on data-dense interfaces and operational logic. Location: Remote (Must be based in the US or Ontario/British Columbia, Canada). No Visa sponsorship provided.

Salary: $120k–$160k USD / $126k–$168k CAD

What you will do

  • Design software for transit agency staff across the full product cycle, from discovery and research to high-fidelity designs.
  • Partner with product managers and engineers to shape product strategy through visualization.
  • Plan and lead user research, including interviews and usability tests, to drive design decisions.
  • Design for real-world operational workflows and service outcomes.
  • Collaborate with engineering during the build phase to ensure the final product meets user needs.
  • Contribute to and evolve the company's design system.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of product design experience with a track record of delivering complex products.
  • Ability to use AI tools for prototyping with production-level code.
  • Experience in complex domains such as operational software or data-dense interfaces.
  • Proficiency in data visualization and analytical UX (dashboards, reporting).
  • Strong user research skills and the ability to turn findings into strategy.
  • Experience mentoring other designers and articulating design decisions to stakeholders.
