What you will do

• Lead the administration of construction projects, including planning, design, budget maintenance, and scheduling.
• Review and evaluate architectural and engineering plans, proposals, and contracting strategies.
• Manage requests for clarification (RFC), change order proposals (COP), and change directives (CD).
• Prepare cost estimates and negotiate fair pricing for contractor change orders.
• Perform site walks to verify field conditions and develop progress reports.
• Ensure compliance with District standards, Division of State Architect (DSA) guidelines, and building codes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
• 8+ years of professional experience in project or construction management of commercial, public, or educational facilities.
• Experience managing projects with values exceeding $15M.
• Ability to work onsite at client sites in Los Angeles.

Nice to have

• Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM).
• Knowledge of LEED certified projects or Collaborative for High Performing Schools (CHPS).
• Experience with the Division of the State Architect (DSA) design/construction process.
