Senior Design Technology & CAD Systems Architect (CAD)

What you will do

• Define and lead the long-term design technology strategy and advise on CAD workflows and industry practices.
• Establish enterprise CAD standards, naming conventions, file-management policies, and data-quality audits.
• Oversee installation, configuration, deployment, network licensing, cloud collaboration, and platform scalability.
• Design customizations and automation scripts using AutoLISP, .NET, and Python.
• Lead CAD data management, archiving, retrieval, and integration with PLM, BIM, and document management platforms.
• Mentor CAD administrators and power users while coordinating with design, IT, vendors, and external project partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Drafting, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• At least seven years of professional experience in high-level design technology environments.
• Three to five years of formal administration or leadership experience.
• Deep expertise in CAD configuration, complex customization, and enterprise-wide standards.
• Strong programming skills in AutoLISP, .NET, Python, or related design-technology languages.

Nice to have

• Experience leading enterprise technology standardization or digital transformation projects.
• Familiarity with Digital Twin concepts, PLM, or BIM workflows.
• A consultative approach to translating design requirements into scalable technical solutions.
