What you will do

• Lead and mentor a team of 5 backend engineers, focusing on growth and direct feedback
• Design and build a robust, scalable backend architecture and ensure autonomous team operation
• Improve backend processes, track performance, and optimize the delivery lifecycle
• Collaborate with QA and Mobile teams to reduce operational friction
• Integrate AI tools into the development workflow to multiply output and iteration speed

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in backend development with production systems at scale
• Deep expertise in TypeScript and NestJS
• Strong PostgreSQL skills, including indexing, query optimization, and schema design
• Hands-on experience with Redis and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Fluent English proficiency
• Must be based in Barcelona, Spain for a hybrid work setup

• Experience with Prisma ORM or equivalent
