Lead Web Performance Engineer (Web3)

What you will do

• Own end-to-end web performance, including load times, rendering, and runtime efficiency.
• Define technical architecture, caching strategies, and CDN configurations.
• Optimize the critical rendering path via SSR, hydration, and code splitting.
• Implement performance observability using Real User Monitoring and Core Web Vitals.
• Establish performance benchmarks and budgets for the engineering team.

Requirements

• Deep experience in web performance engineering at scale (billions of page loads).
• Expertise in rendering, caching, CDN configuration, and Core Web Vitals.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript with deep knowledge of browser engines and V8.
• Proven track record of building observability systems and utilizing a measurement-driven approach.
• Technical leadership experience influencing broader engineering teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with Next.js, React, and modern SSR/SSG strategies.
• Familiarity with edge computing and CDN-level programmability.
