What you will do

• Provide technical and administrative management for heavy civil and landfill construction projects.
• Act as the resident engineer, verifying contractor compliance with plans, specifications, permits, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage project documentation, including pay quantity calculations, daily inspection records, and weekly status reports.
• Coordinate daily activities between contractors, clients, and CQA, representing the client at all project levels.
• Lead pre-construction conferences and weekly progress meetings, preparing agendas and minutes.
• Oversee project administration, including RFIs, change orders, submittals, and pay applications.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience providing full in-charge technical, administrative, and field management for heavy civil and/or landfill construction projects.
• Proven expertise in resident engineering, contractor oversight, schedule and cost control, and regulatory compliance.
• Location: Must be onsite at the client site in San Bernardino, CA.

• Experience identifying construction problems and collaborating with design engineers to implement solutions.
• Knowledge of health and safety requirements for the protection of the public and project personnel.
• Experience coordinating submittal reviews and preparing contractor progress payments.
• Ability to review contractor as-built drawing markups and maintain red-line drawings.
