What you will do
- Lead and line manage a squad of engineers to deliver the product and technology roadmap.
- Design, implement, and assure high-quality, secure, and scalable cloud-based services.
- Own the personal development and performance of team members to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with architects and product management to manage technical debt and platform risks.
- Promote engineering best practices and knowledge sharing across the wider technology organization.
- Operate within an Agile environment, driving automation in CI/CD and quality assurance.
Requirements
- Must be based in or able to commute to Liverpool, UK.
- Proven experience in leading and managing engineering teams in a high-quality system development environment.
- Strong technical background in cloud-based software engineering.
- Experience with Agile methodologies (SCRUM/Kanban) and CI/CD automation.
- Ability to provide clear direction, coaching, and mentoring to team members.
- Financial Services experience is preferred.
Nice to have
- Experience with AWS, Java, Python, or React.
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code, serverless computing, and observability.
- Familiarity with DevSecFinOps practices.
