What you will do

• Provide inspection and quality assurance for highway and roadway construction projects.
• Verify that completed work complies with contract plans, specifications, and special provisions.
• Coordinate project activities with general contractors and public utility agencies.
• Negotiate change orders and prepare contract estimates and progress pay reports.
• Monitor contractor progress and maintain comprehensive project records.
• Coordinate sampling and testing of construction materials to ensure specification compliance.

Requirements

• Graduation from a four-year ABET-accredited civil engineering program (or a valid EIT certification).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in roadway construction inspection for highways or major public works projects.
• Ability to work on-site at client locations in Los Angeles.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Caltrans standards.
• Understanding of physical characteristics and properties of roadway materials like concrete and steel.
