Application Engineer II (Automotive)

Location: Must be based in the Southeast Michigan area. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; no visa sponsorship available.

What you will do

• Commission and integrate test systems including engine, battery, and eMotor setups.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical problems to develop effective solutions.
• Implement and tune complex control loops and auxiliary equipment.
• Manage on-site project execution, including cost and schedule estimates.
• Act as the primary liaison and technical representative for customers.
• Create commissioning documentation and provide advanced system training.

Requirements

• Must be located in the Southeast Michigan area.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
• 3-5+ years of relevant experience in system and component level testing.
• Expertise in reading electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills and electrical aptitude.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in engineering.
• Experience with test automation equipment.
• Strong software modification and adaptation skills.
