TL;DR

Controller (Finance): Leading and coordinating the North America finance function for a manufacturing organization with an accent on accounting operations, cost accounting, and financial reporting. Focus on managing month-end processes, ensuring internal controls, and overseeing cash management and budgeting activities.

Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to Sparta, Wisconsin (On-site, 5 days per week)

Salary: $140,000–$170,000

What you will do

• Supervise and coordinate the finance team responsible for accounting and data processing.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes and financial statement audits.
• Oversee inventory control, cost accounting, and cash management procedures.
• Prepare annual budgets and statutory financial reports for the parent company.
• Standardize and improve internal accounting procedures and organizational KPIs.
• Manage property tax filings and foreign currency transactions.

Requirements

• Must be able to work on-site 5 days per week in Sparta, Wisconsin.
• 4+ years of experience as a Controller handling full accounting records.
• 2–3 years of specific Cost Accounting experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of internal controls and GAAP.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

Nice to have

• CPA certification.
• Experience managing accounting functions for a $40–50M organization.
