Location: Must be based in Chicago, IL. The role requires an onsite presence during the initial training period, transitioning to a hybrid schedule (4 days in office, 1 day remote) thereafter.

Compensation: $45,000–$60,000 base salary plus monthly incentives.

What you will do

  • Identify, source, and develop strong business relationships with service providers.
  • Negotiate freight rates to motor carriers to maximize profitability.
  • Actively engage carrier partners via phone, targeting 80+ dials per day.
  • Coordinate customer freight with available motor carrier equipment.
  • Track and monitor shipments to proactively address transit delays.
  • Verify freight charges and resolve payables discrepancies.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of proven success in a Carrier Sales position within the logistics industry.
  • Strong negotiation, networking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
