What you will do

• Lead and support the Test Engineering department and act as a line manager for the group.
• Analyse system requirements to derive test requirements and design comprehensive test cases for electro-mechanical systems.
• Define and design test jigs, harnesses, and software, including automation for test execution.
• Implement data processing and filtering software to extract results into analysis packages.
• Manage internal test facilities (tanks, pools, ovens) and coordinate with external test facilities for EMC and vibration testing.
• Perform fault finding, failure analysis, and document findings in high-quality test reports.

Requirements

• HNC or Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Electrical/Electronic preferred).
• Must be based in or able to work onsite at Fareham, UK.
• Proven experience in personnel supervision, coaching, and workload management.
• High proficiency with National Instruments LabView and TestStand software tool chains.
• Ability to write software scripts in Python, Visual Basic, C, or C++.
• Expertise in Verification & Validation (V&V) processes and multi-disciplinary systems.

Nice to have

• National Instruments certified developer.
• Experience with system engineering tools like EA or DOORS.
• Background in the offshore or subsea industry.
• Knowledge of product certification standards such as CE or DNV.
