Senior Manufacturing Systems Engineer / CNC Programmer

Location: Prestwick, Ayrshire, United Kingdom. Work location: site-based, 100%. Occasional travel required.

Salary: from £44,348 per year.

Prestwick Aerosystems manufactures aircraft wing structures for Airbus commercial aircraft at its Prestwick facility.

What you will do

• Develop and optimise manufacturing systems, including robotic and numerically controlled programmes for automated equipment.
• Create and amend NC programmes and provide manufacturing systems solutions through industrial engineering.
• Work with design and manufacturing disciplines to create programming data.
• Create and maintain programming simulation models and manipulate 3D data for manufacturing processes.
• Provide technical guidance and training for manufacturing systems programming.
• Manage tools and cutters supporting manufacturing operations.

Requirements

• Experience with manufacturing systems programming techniques.
• Working knowledge of 3D modelling techniques and automated manufacturing systems.
• Knowledge of a range of PDM tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with customers and suppliers.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access.
• HND level or equivalent experience in manufacturing or a technology-related discipline.
