Field Operations Team Lead (Robotics)

Location: Germany; unrestricted right to work and live in the European Union required. The role involves on-site work at customer facilities, future customer-site assignments, and occasional visits to company locations in the UK and Europe.

What you will do

• Supervise Field Operations Associates and lead on-shift activities at customer sites.
• Coordinate robot deployment, integration, maintenance, tools, spare parts, and operational equipment.
• Manage site SOPs, document field learnings, and track and reproduce hardware and software issues.
• Test product releases and robot capabilities, using logs, diagnostics, and field observations to troubleshoot problems.
• Collect and analyse operational data to evaluate robot performance, identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate production incidents and technical issues with service, engineering, and product teams while acting as the liaison between deployed sites and hirify.global offices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Engineering, or a comparable field, or equivalent technical experience.
• 2–5 years of experience in industrial automation, robotics, or automotive integration, deployment, or development.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and networking systems, with hands-on troubleshooting, assembly, and maintenance experience.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, decision-making, communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with project management and collaboration software such as Confluence and Jira.
• Business-fluent English and unrestricted right to work and live in the European Union required.

Nice to have

• Experience in warehouse or logistics automation, industrial robotics, or hirify.global robotics deployment.
• Knowledge of a relevant local language, such as German.
• Valid Class B or equivalent driver's licence.
• Experience with software integration, sensor-based automation, commissioning, acceptance testing, or software validation.
• Experience working directly with customers in complex operational environments or operational leadership roles.
