Robotics Maintenance Technician

Location: Northampton, England, United Kingdom; on-site. Morning and afternoon shifts are required, with night shifts during peak periods.

What you will do

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on robots, conveyors, machines, and automated warehouse systems.
• Monitor system performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability and uptime.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and automation-related faults through fault-finding and root cause analysis.
• Participate in system installation, deployment, commissioning, and equipment integration.
• Respond to operational incidents and equipment breakdowns while supporting safe and efficient warehouse operations.
• Collaborate with technicians and cross-functional teams, sharing technical knowledge and contributing to continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in industrial, electrical, automation, or maintenance environments.
• Strong electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, fault-finding, and problem-solving skills.
• Good mechanical maintenance knowledge and experience with industrial machinery, automated systems, or robotics.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Willingness to work on-site and participate in morning, afternoon, and peak-period night shifts.

Nice to have

• Experience with robotics or warehouse automation systems.
• Knowledge of conveyors, material handling, or distribution centre equipment.
• Experience with PLCs, sensors, motors, drives, or industrial control systems.
• Background in logistics, manufacturing, automation, or intralogistics.
• Relevant UK electrical qualifications or certifications.
