What you will do
- Support employee relations investigations and conflict resolution for the HR team
- Maintain HRIS for employee life-cycle processes and ensure electronic files are accurate and updated
- Answer employee and manager inquiries with guidance on HR policies, programs, and processes
- Serve as the onboarding point of contact for new hires and support their transition
- Assist with HR reporting, audit requests, and the creation/documentation of HR policies and processes
- Respond to initial unemployment claims and employment verifications; support recruitment with staffing-related activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 6+ months of administrative experience (internship experience qualifies)
- Ability to work onsite in Palo Alto, CA and relocate if not already local to the area
- Ability to work overtime hours and/or weekends when needed
- Willingness to travel to other SpaceX locations (up to 25%)
- Must meet ITAR eligibility requirements (U.S. citizen/national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or eligible to obtain required authorizations)
Nice to have
- 1+ years of intern or professional experience in a human resources role
- Experience using Workday, Greenhouse, and UltiPro
- Basic understanding of labor laws and interest in staying current with HR trends
- Experience in HR operations capacity
- Experience using PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Excel
