TL;DR

Sales Planning and Compensation Lead (Fintech): Owning the execution and evolution of sales compensation programs, including commission administration, territory design, and quota setting with an accent on operational scalability and data-driven performance analytics. Focus on partnering with Sales, Finance, and People teams to ensure incentive programs are accurate, aligned with business goals, and effective in a high-growth environment.

Location: Hybrid positions in New York, NY or Salt Lake City, UT (2-3 days/week on-site). Relocation assistance available for eligible candidates.

Salary: $105,000 – $147,000 USD (based on geographic tier).

What you will do

  • Design and evolve commission plans, modeling quotas, accelerators, and incentive structures.
  • Own the end-to-end monthly commission calculation and payout process.
  • Manage compensation systems, audit trails, and resolve payout exceptions or disputes.
  • Support territory design and quota setting through capacity and coverage modeling.
  • Analyze quota attainment and compensation spend to provide actionable insights for leadership.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, and People to align compensation with business strategy.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in sales compensation, revenue operations, or FP&A.
  • Proven experience owning commission calculations and payout processes end-to-end.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for complex modeling.
  • Experience working with Salesforce data.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and able to work in a hybrid capacity in NYC or Salt Lake City.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with Snowflake.
  • SQL proficiency.
  • Python skills.
