What you will do

• Hire, manage, and develop a high-performing engineering team focused on the Data Insights Platform.
• Partner with product and design teams to define and execute the roadmap for analytics and search initiatives.
• Guide the technical architecture of distributed data-path components including ingestion, buffering, and storage.
• Ensure operational maturity through observability, capacity planning, and performance monitoring.
• Drive security, privacy, and governance standards across all platform data handling.
• Collaborate asynchronously to deliver scalable, customer-facing reporting capabilities.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• Proven experience managing platform, infrastructure, or data systems teams at scale.
• Deep expertise in distributed systems, including service boundaries, fault tolerance, and horizontal scalability.
• Strong technical background in backend and platform engineering for high-throughput event pipelines.
• Experience with technologies such as change data capture, event streaming, OLAP stores, and query-serving layers.
• Ability to balance hands-on technical architecture guidance with effective people management.

• Familiarity with search, indexing, and query-serving systems.
• Experience operating systems across multiple deployment models (SaaS, Dedicated, Self-Managed).
