What you will do

• Drive high-leverage projects aligned with company goals.
• Scale and grow the engineering team to build more efficient and reliable storage systems.
• Mentor individual contributors and provide technical leadership for the team.
• Collaborate with various engineering teams across hirify.global.
• Maintain and evolve storage systems supporting lexical search, semantic search, and ranking.
• Manage the full system lifecycle including provisioning, scaling, and self-healing.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in people management of high-performing engineering teams.
• 7+ years of experience in backend infrastructure with a focus on storage systems.
• 5+ years of experience in high-scale environments.
• Experience running storage systems atop orchestration/distributed systems like Kubernetes.
• Must be based in the United States.
• Strong focus on scalability, performance, and quality.

Nice to have

• Experience with full-text search and vector similarity search (ANN).
• Contributions to open-source ecosystems in Go, Rust, C++, or Java.
