Analyst, Resource Planning & Grid Integration (Energy): Managing the development and integration of energy projects across the U.S. with an accent on grid integration strategy and large-load commercialization. Location: Hybrid (San Francisco, CA). Must be based near one of the company offices (SF, San Diego, Scottsdale, Houston, Denver, or Princeton).
Salary: $90,000 – $100,000

Group is a leading clean energy company operating a massive portfolio of wind, solar, and battery storage assets across 26 U.S. states.
What you will do
- Lead resource planning and interconnection processes for generator and load requests in coordination with Development and Origination teams.
- Develop strategic offerings based on regulatory constructs, demand signals, and market fundamentals across U.S. markets.
- Monitor and influence FERC and ISO/RTO tariffs and state policies to mitigate risks for the development pipeline.
- Design and model multi-technology complexes (wind, solar, storage) to provide carbon-free energy and timeline certainty to large load customers.
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies, such as Long Duration Energy Storage, into company processes and projects.
- Manage external consultants for energy modeling and support financing diligence and M&A opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in power systems modeling, transmission planning, or grid integration.
- Proficiency with power system analytical tools such as PSS®E, TARA, PSLF, and Power World.
- Working knowledge of FERC interconnection processes and specific requirements for MISO, ERCOT, SPP, PJM, ISO-NE, and NYISO.
- Expertise in performing power flow, short circuit, and dynamic studies.
- Clearway will not sponsor non-immigrant visas (H-1B, TN, E-3, etc.).
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in engineering, business, finance, law, or public policy.
- 2-4 years of experience in the U.S. renewable energy industry with a focus on life-cycle development.
- Experience managing cross-functional project teams and external stakeholders.
- Deep knowledge of regulatory frameworks and tariffs related to electric transmission and generation.
- Experience with energy modeling and financial modeling.
