What you will do

• Implement controls to ensure compliance with NERC, PPA, RTO, and ISO regulatory standards.
• Monitor and analyze system performance data to identify trends and anomalies affecting BESS assets.
• Conduct root cause analyses of system failures and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with engineering and commercial teams to enhance asset performance, monitoring, and operating processes.
• Lead projects related to asset management, technology integration, and market trading to optimize asset performance.
• Partner with Field and Asset Managers to resolve reliability issues and generate necessary compliance evidence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 6+ years of experience in reliability engineering, power system analysis, or asset management in the electric utility industry.
• Deep knowledge of NERC reliability standards and experience with ISOs and utilities.
• Experience in the design, operation, monitoring, and maintenance of power system assets (BESS preferred).
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data for informed decision-making.
• Ability to communicate complex compliance requirements effectively to internal management and external parties.

Nice to have

• Experience in substation design, equipment, and maintenance.
• Understanding of energy markets and locational marginal price formation.
• Programming skills in SQL, Python, or Powershell for requirement tracking and automation.
• Ability to use Power BI and Seeq analysis tools.
