TL;DR

Account Executive (Sales): Manage the full sales cycle for mid-sized government jurisdictions, from prospecting and qualifying to negotiating and closing deals, with an accent on pipeline growth, accurate CRM forecasting, and expanding revenue through cross-selling. Focus on building relationships with key decision makers and leading RFP responses while collaborating with Marketing and Product to ensure customer satisfaction.

Location: Remote based in the US (covers IL, MN, WI, MO, IA, KS, AR, NE, AZ, NM, OK, SD)

Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 base annually

What you will do

  • Own the full sales cycle (prospecting, qualifying, negotiating, closing) for mid-size jurisdictions in the listed states.
  • Maintain and grow revenue from existing customers and expand into new departments.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision makers across prospect and customer organizations.
  • Tailor solutions to customer and prospect needs and lead RFP responses.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date forecast opportunities and records in the CRM.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Product to support customer satisfaction and meet annual sales targets.

Requirements

  • Location: Remote based in the US and cover the listed states.
  • 2-5 years of sales experience, preferably selling software to state & local governments.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM and sales tools, including correct opportunity qualification and forecasting.
  • Ability to travel > 50%.
