Senior Network Administrator (Palo Alto)

Salary: $130,000–$190,000 per year in base compensation

What you will do

• Design, deploy, secure, and maintain network architectures across classified and unclassified environments.
• Configure and manage Palo Alto firewalls, including PAN-OS, Panorama, and GlobalProtect.
• Implement and support Aruba switching, wireless, and ClearPass networking solutions.
• Perform network segmentation, zero-trust implementation, policy enforcement, monitoring, troubleshooting, and uptime optimization.
• Remediate vulnerabilities and support compliance with DoD cybersecurity frameworks, including RMF and STIGs.
• Support incident response, secure integrations with cybersecurity, systems, and DevOps teams, and maintain network documentation and accreditation materials.

Requirements

• 8+ years of network administration experience in enterprise or DoD environments.
• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls and Aruba Networks.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs, network security, and zero-trust architectures.
• Experience operating in classified environments such as SIPR/NIPR or equivalent.
• Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity standards, including RMF, NIST 800-53, and STIGs.
• Active DoD Secret clearance required; TS preferred.

Nice to have

• Palo Alto PCNSE or higher and Aruba ACMP, ACDX, or similar certifications.
• Experience with network automation using Python, Ansible, or APIs.
• Experience with AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, Zero Trust, SASE, or Zscaler ZIA/ZPA.
• Background in high-availability or mission-critical systems, defense contracting, or rapid deployment environments.
