What you will do

• Build and analyze FE models of vehicle structures for aerospace and automotive applications.
• Apply nonlinear geometry, material, implicit, and explicit techniques to address complex multi-physics problems.
• Validate analysis results using hand calculations and optimization methods.
• Present technical analysis reports to engineering teams and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional disciplines to design structures optimized for mass and assembly.
• Support prototype and production build activities while implementing cost and method improvements.

Requirements

• Must be able to lawfully access information and technology subject to US export controls.
• BS or MS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 4+ years of experience in aerospace or automotive structural analysis.
• 4+ years of experience with analysis software such as Nastran, Optistruct, ABAQUS, or LS-Dyna.
• 4+ years of experience in non-linear, dynamic stiffness, and durability analyses.
• Proficiency with Altair Hypermesh or Beta CAE ANSA preprocessors.

Nice to have

• Experience with DoD airworthiness stakeholders (e.g., AFTC or FAA).
• Experience with automotive full vehicle homologation procedures.
• Material characterization and physical test correlation experience.
• Experience with aerospace load applications and MIL-STDs.
