  • Architect and design structures, frames, mounts, enclosures, and mechanisms subject to shock, vibration, thermal, and environmental constraints.
  • Develop 3D CAD models, large assemblies, interface control documents, and mechanical interfaces for multidisciplinary system integration.
  • Perform structural and thermal analyses, allocate requirements, and support compliance with military standards.
  • Lead system integration, qualification, acceptance, installation, alignment, and fit-check activities.
  • Resolve cross-disciplinary technical issues and support customers, platform providers, suppliers, manufacturing partners, production transition, configuration control, and fielded-system sustainment.

Requirements

  • 11+ years of progressively responsible experience in platform-level mechanical design and system integration for aerospace and defense applications.
  • Experience integrating mechanical and mission subsystems into vehicles, mobile platforms, or fixed installations.
  • Strong proficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks for large assemblies and top-down design, plus expertise in tolerancing, alignment, installation practices, and ICDs.
  • Experience with structural analysis methods, ruggedized military hardware, environmental qualification, and standards such as MIL-STD-810.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with mechanisms, actuation systems, vehicle integration, requirements allocation, and commercial FEA or multiphysics tools.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, assembly, prototyping, additive manufacturing, CNC machining, and producibility constraints.
  • Familiarity with military-style connectors and field installation, retrofit, and sustainment of complex sensor systems.

Culture & Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision benefits fully paid by the company.
  • 401(k) with a 50% company match up to 6% of pay, plus FSA, HSA, and life insurance.
