Location: San Jose, CA office with hybrid work format requiring presence 4 days per week

Salary: $206,000–$275,000 per year

What you will do

  • Oversee revenue recognition process and establish scalable systems partnering with Sales, FP&A, Rev Ops, Legal, and Engineering
  • Ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance of revenue-related financial reporting per ASC 606 and other standards
  • Collaborate with external auditors and provide guidance on revenue accounting practices
  • Monitor revenue accounting guidance developments and advise leadership on impacts and strategies
  • Improve and automate revenue accounting processes, controls, and systems for scalability
  • Mentor and lead a high-performing revenue accounting team

Requirements

  • Must have 12+ years of accounting experience focused on revenue recognition
  • CPA license required
  • Deep expertise in ASC 606 revenue recognition principles, preferably in technology sector
  • Proficiency in accounting systems (NetSuite preferred), Excel, Salesforce, and revenue automation tools
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills
  • Knowledge of SOX requirements and internal controls

Nice to have

  • Experience in accounting firm national office or advisory practice
  • Experience with SaaS, consumption-based, or AI-driven business models, ideally pre-IPO or public company
  • Track record of system and process improvements during hyper growth
  • Strong cross-functional relationship building
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and make informed decisions independently
