TL;DR

Recruiting Operations Manager: Owning the infrastructure and logistics of the hiring engine with an accent on process optimization, system administration, and team leadership. Focus on building scalable recruiting workflows, managing the Recruiting Coordinator team, and driving operational excellence in a high-growth defense tech environment.

Location: Must be based in or able to relocate to Hawthorne, California (4-5 days onsite required)

Salary: $140,000 - $165,000

What you will do

  • Manage and develop a team of Recruiting Coordinators to ensure high performance and smooth logistics.
  • Own and optimize recruiting coordination workflows, including scheduling, offer logistics, and onboarding.
  • Administer and improve recruiting systems, specifically Greenhouse, ensuring data integrity.
  • Design and iterate on interview training programs and scorecard frameworks.
  • Partner with HR and Recruiting to identify process gaps and implement cross-functional improvements.
  • Track operational metrics to measure team performance and inform strategic decisions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in recruiting operations or HR operations.
  • 2+ years of people management experience.
  • Deep familiarity with Greenhouse (ATS) and recruiting tech stacks.
  • Ability to work 4-5 days onsite in Hawthorne, California.
  • Strong process orientation with experience designing structured hiring programs.
  • Clear communication skills and ability to build trust across functions.

Nice to have

  • Experience with HRIS systems and data workflows.
  • Background in high-growth startup or tech environments.
  • Comfort operating with ambiguity and building programs from scratch.
