What you will do
- Support the Flight Standards (FS) Directives Management Officer (DMO) with the FS Publications program and act as Office of Primary Responsibility point of contact for advice and consent.
- Coordinate directives projects from start to finish: manage trackers, monitor the AFB-120 Directives mailbox, and organize publication packages with minimal edits and formatting corrections.
- Review FS Directives, ACs, and electronic Final Clearance Packages (eFCPs); route packages for AFS-1/AFX-1 review and track status through completion.
- Update SharePoint tracking/processing sites with routing and completion information; disseminate document packages to stakeholders and return signed clearance records with comments.
- Process public comment and priority processing requests/packages; review and process STC letters received from AFS-100.
- Perform Section 508 accessibility checks to make documents Section 508 compliant and support PIF notification workflows to stakeholders and the Leidos team.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident (Green Card) status to pass a customer background check for access to facilities, equipment, and property.
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field and at least 3 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education/experience.
- Ability to navigate FS publications guidance and apply FS Directives process and procedures.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 2016 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams, Visio) and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to convert Word (.docx) to PDF and create basic PDF form fields (checkboxes, date boxes, fillable lines/boxes, digital signature blocks).
- Ability to apply basic Section 508 accessibility process and route packages through the FAA Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) when applicable.
