TL;DR

Help Desk Specialist (macOS): Providing Tier 1 & 2 technical support for a Mac-centric environment with an accent on device management, hardware troubleshooting, and user onboarding. Focus on maintaining macOS and Windows systems using Jamf and Workspace One, while ensuring seamless IT operations for technical teams.

Location: Must be based in the United States and available for meetings during Pacific Time business hours.

Salary: $28–$34 per hour.

What you will do

  • Provide Tier 1 & 2 support for macOS and Windows laptops, including hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Manage devices using Jamf Pro for macOS and Workspace One for Windows.
  • Assist with Google Workspace configuration, access, and integration issues.
  • Handle onboarding and offboarding tasks, including user provisioning and laptop setup.
  • Maintain detailed documentation in Jira Service Management and Confluence.
  • Manage physical laptop and peripheral shipping, requiring reliable transportation and home storage space.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of IT support experience, preferably in a software or SaaS environment.
  • Strong proficiency in supporting macOS and WindowsOS.
  • Experience with device management tools like Jamf Pro.
  • Must be based in the U.S. and able to attend meetings during Pacific Time.
  • Excellent communication skills and a service-oriented personality.
  • Reliable transportation and home storage space for hardware shipping.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Druva or similar cloud backup solutions.
  • Familiarity with Okta or other identity management systems.
  • Experience with Atlassian tools like Jira and Confluence.
