What you will do

  • Manage profitability and departmental budgets by reviewing financial reports, controlling wages and expenses, and improving performance against budget.
  • Develop and execute an operational strategy aligned with the brand’s business strategy, making key decisions to keep the property on track.
  • Improve service performance by ensuring core elements of the service strategy are in place and communicating operational goals consistently.
  • Lead property operations teams by setting a vision for service delivery, aligning leadership, and ensuring fair and equitable treatment.
  • Manage and conduct human resources activities including observing service behaviors, hiring operations management, running annual performance appraisals, and using an open-door approach.
  • Coach and support the operations team to manage occupancy & rate, wages, and controllable expenses while addressing operational challenges.

Requirements

  • 2-year degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field with 8 years’ experience in operations management, sales and marketing, or related area; or 4-year bachelor’s degree with 6 years’ experience.
  • Proven experience managing hotel operations and driving service standards and guest satisfaction.
  • Experience reviewing financial statements and managing departmental budgets to achieve desired financial results.
  • Experience leading teams and conducting performance appraisals according to standard operating procedures.
  • Strong ability to coach and hold teams accountable for operational and financial outcomes.
