What you will do

• Provide leadership and monitor staff performance within the paramedic service.
• Develop, implement, and enforce operational policies and procedures.
• Ensure seamless and safe operations by maintaining appropriate staffing levels.
• Manage investigations of public and major complaints, including high-risk matters.
• Monitor compliance with paramedic service deployment plans and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct audits of clinical patient care and documentation for legislative compliance.

Requirements

• Certified as a Primary or Advance Care Paramedic by the Southwest Ontario Regional base hospital program.
• Must be currently licensed to work in Ontario as a paramedic.
• Possess a valid Class F driver’s license in good standing in Ontario.
• Must submit ITLS, CPR C for Health Care Providers, and PEPP certifications.
• University degree in Health Sciences or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory capacity.

Nice to have

• Experience working with unions.
• Post-secondary education in business administration.
