What you will do

• Build and maintain in-house software testing infrastructure, including hardware testbeds and simulated scenarios.
• Develop novel off-nominal test scenarios to expand overall test coverage.
• Collaborate with the Simulations team to integrate simulation tools into automated testing campaigns.
• Break down complex technical goals into actionable, well-explained proposals.
• Mentor Test and Simulation team engineers to drive technical excellence.
• Integrate feedback from client teams to iteratively improve testing tools and procedures.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. person or eligible for export authorization (ITAR/EAR compliance).
• Must be based in San Jose, CA.
• 8+ years of experience as a software engineer in a team environment.
• Strong programming proficiency in Python.
• Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Familiarity with Linux systems administration and Docker containers.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of C/C++ and statistical analysis.
• Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) or Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) simulation.
• Familiarity with electronics test equipment like oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
• Experience testing embedded hardware in aerospace, robotics, or autonomous vehicles.
• Familiarity with cloud deployment environments like Kubernetes.
