Senior Software Engineer, Test Infrastructure (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite at the San Jose, California office, United States

Salary: $184,000–$208,000 per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Build and support in-house software testing infrastructure, including hardware testbeds and simulated test scenarios.
• Develop proposals that break down complex technical goals into detailed implementation plans.
• Integrate feedback from client teams to improve testing tools and procedures.
• Expand test coverage by developing novel off-nominal scenarios.
• Integrate simulation tools into automated testing campaigns with the Simulations team.
• Plan work reliably, align the team with company goals, and mentor Test and Simulation engineers.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience in a team environment.
• Proven experience delivering reliable software testing infrastructure.
• Strong programming experience in Python.
• Experience with Git or comparable version control systems and CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with Linux systems administration and Docker containers.
• Must meet applicable U.S. export-control eligibility requirements for access to ITAR/EAR-controlled information.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of C/C++ and statistical analysis.
• Experience with electronics test equipment and embedded hardware projects in robotics, autonomous vehicles, or aerospace.
• Experience designing orchestration and reporting infrastructure for end-to-end integration tests across large systems.
• Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop or Software-in-the-Loop testing, Kubernetes, cloud deployment environments, and virtual instances.
