Senior Network Engineer

TL;DR

Senior Network Engineer (Enterprise Networking): Ensuring the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of critical network services with an accent on incident management, automation, and infrastructure delivery. Focus on mentoring support engineers, driving process improvements, and collaborating across design, security, and automation teams.

Location: Must have the right to work in the UK. Hybrid role requiring 2 days per week in the office at either Osterley or Livingston.

What you will do

• Act as technical authority for critical, high-severity network incidents and perform forensic analytics.
• Deliver and manage network platforms and toolsets for the support organization.
• Drive process improvements within the wider Enterprise Networking group.
• Contribute to infrastructure project deliverables and collaborate with business customers.
• Mentor support engineers and contribute to their career development.
• Ensure end-to-end supportability by collaborating with automation, design, and security teams.

Requirements

• Must have the right to work in the UK (sponsorship not provided).
• Qualified to Cisco CCNP level or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in a support and operations environment.
• Proven experience delivering and running network management platforms like Netbrain, Solarwinds, or Cisco DNA Centre.
• Proficiency in automation frameworks including scripting, Python, Ansible, and REST APIs.
• Extensive knowledge of enterprise networking technologies including Firewalls (Palo Alto/Cisco ASA), Load Balancers (F5), and Switching/Routing Fabrics (EVPN/ACI/IOS-XE).

Nice to have

• Undergraduate degree.
• Exposure to broadcast or media environments.
• Experience with virtual server environments or ESX cluster management.
