TL;DR

(Senior) Sales Manager (Fintech/Payments): Own the full B2B sales lifecycle for the French market, from pipeline building with BDRs to closing complex enterprise deals with a focus on consultative selling and product advisory. Focus on localized go-to-market execution, end-to-end contract negotiations with French C-suite/procurement/legal stakeholders, and cross-functional alignment to meet French market requirements and compliance.

Location: Amsterdam area (Hybrid) — currently based in or willing to relocate to the Amsterdam area; regular in-person collaboration at the Amsterdam office is required.

What you will do

  • Own, manage, and scale the sales pipeline for France with BDRs, targeting mid-market to enterprise businesses, platforms, and digital merchants.
  • Execute a localized go-to-market strategy for France and position fintech solutions against local competitors.
  • Lead end-to-end negotiations with French C-suite executives, procurement leads, and legal teams, structuring complex commercial contracts.
  • Provide consultative selling by understanding clients’ payments architecture, checkout friction, and cash-flow challenges to recommend the right fintech solution.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Risk, and Legal teams to ensure features align with French market requirements, customer feedback, and compliance standards.

Requirements

  • Location: currently based in or willing to relocate to the Amsterdam area; regular in-person collaboration at the Amsterdam office is vital.
  • 4+ years of experience in B2B sales, account management, or business development, ideally in fintech, SaaS, payments, or e-commerce platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of the French business landscape, including localized payment preferences and how French businesses evaluate financial payment options.
  • Experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce (or similar) and sales tooling (e.g., Claude, LinkedIn Sales, Gemini).
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to navigate long, complex sales cycles and objections to close against quarter-on-quarter targets.
  • Languages: Business fluency in French and professional proficiency in English; comfortable pitching and negotiating entirely in French.
