What you will do

  • Develop and implement business development strategy for Mid-State Supply (MSS).
  • Grow the customer base and increase penetration of existing accounts through sales strategy and written action plans.
  • Identify new market opportunities, research prospective customers, and investigate competitive bid opportunities.
  • Drive platform strategy through marketing strategies and initiatives, including special projects or urgent needs.
  • Maintain strong product/service knowledge and report business development activities to executive management on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Coordinate resources and act as a liaison supporting the outside sales team managing customer accounts.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of business development experience in a retail or distribution entity (or similar field).
  • Ability to travel on a regular basis.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong functional knowledge of MSS products and services offerings.
