Electrical Engineer - Group (High-Speed Rail)

What you will do

• Lead the planning, design, integration, and delivery of the electrical engineering work package for an ALTO high-speed rail station.
• Prepare engineering drawings, reports, specifications, design reviews, and technical materials for permitting and approvals.
• Coordinate electrical and multidisciplinary interfaces across architecture, structural systems, MEP, utilities, fire and life safety, civil works, rail systems, operations, and stakeholders.
• Support design governance, change control, configuration management, risk management, value engineering, and alignment with programme budget and schedule.
• Support procurement, construction oversight, resolution of technical issues, commissioning readiness, handover, and operational integration.
• Engage with federal, provincial, and municipal authorities, Transport Canada, utility providers, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Accredited degree in engineering or a related discipline.
• Professional Engineer designation through OIQ or equivalent, or eligibility for registration in Canada.
• 10+ years of experience in major infrastructure or transportation projects.
• Experience with rail, metro, or high-speed rail station design and delivery in complex, highly regulated environments.
• Knowledge of station planning, construction documents, building systems, fire and life safety, passenger flow, BIM, digital engineering, interface management, risk management, and configuration control.
• Leadership, decision-making, multidisciplinary communication, stakeholder management, coaching, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.

Nice to have

• Bilingual English and French capability.
• Experience with Alliance, PPP, or Design-Build delivery models.
• Experience integrating new infrastructure with existing brownfield systems.
