What you will do

• Collaborate with global and regional leadership to develop design strategies, reference architectures, and technical standards.
• Manage consulting partners to ensure mechanical systems meet global standards, performance, and resilience requirements.
• Conduct technical reviews at key project gateways to ensure designs are buildable, cost-effective, and compliant.
• Support utilities planning, procurement, and site infrastructure improvements to reduce power usage effectiveness.
• Lead technical discussions with end customers and supply chain partners to drive innovative, world-class product solutions.
• Oversee mechanical systems through the full project lifecycle, from design sign-off to commissioning and operations.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent professional qualification required.
• Expert knowledge of mechanical systems, including cooling, ventilation, and water services in mission-critical environments.
• Proven experience in data center design and delivery.
• Must be able to travel internationally to support projects in AMERS and EMEA regions.
• Proficiency in BIM and Navisworks for 3D model interrogation.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance technical decisions against capex and opex impacts.

Nice to have

• Chartered Engineer status or working towards accreditation.
• Uptime Institute or other industry-approved certifications.
• Membership in ASHRAE or similar professional organizations.
• Knowledge of BMS, fire suppression, and acoustics.
