Sales Development Representative - Outbound Leads (Outbound SDR): Drive outbound prospecting and pipeline development for Dwolla by executing multi-channel outreach, running discovery conversations, and handing off qualified opportunities with an accent on Money Movement enterprise growth strategy and AI-enabled outreach efficiency. Focus on building best-in-class outreach execution, qualifying inbound and outbound leads, and reporting pipeline metrics while staying current on payments and fintech regulatory changes.

Location: Cape Town, South Africa (attendance in the Cape Town office for US working hours is required; office location: Cape Town, V&A)

Salary: R348,000 - R388,000 per annum (base) + R500,000 - R551,000 per annum (total target earnings)

What you will do

  • Own outbound prospecting for mid-market and Fortune 1000 accounts and build best-in-class multi-channel outreach campaigns (email, phone, LinkedIn, and other platforms).
  • Run discovery conversations to uncover pain points, priorities, decision-making authority, and ICP fit, then tailor Money Movement value propositions for enterprise prospects.
  • Use sales intelligence and AI-enabled outreach tools (e.g., LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo.io, AI prospecting platforms) to build targeted lists and improve outreach efficiency.
  • Qualify inbound leads and manage lead-to-opportunity creation using consultative questioning and automation/AI-driven tools for prioritization and data accuracy.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Sales Operations, Product, and Engineering to ensure seamless opportunity handoff and alignment on qualification criteria.
  • Track and report outreach volume, meeting creation, and pipeline contribution; continuously improve business development processes and maintain SLA adherence.

Requirements

  • Location/attendance: Must attend the Cape Town office for US working hours.
  • 5+ years of successful outbound business development experience in payments, fintech, or B2B SaaS.
  • Proven track record generating high-quality outbound pipeline and converting leads into qualified sales opportunities.
  • Experience working in SDR teams with demonstrated ability to share knowledge and elevate team performance.
  • Strong communication skills to engage credibly with senior decision-makers at complex organizations.
  • Proficiency with modern outreach and sales intelligence tools (e.g., LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo.io) and experience leveraging automation/AI for outreach quality and lead prioritization.
