What you will do
- Own market intelligence, brand presence, and stakeholder engagement across Sub-Saharan Africa, focusing on Nigeria, Kenya, and South Africa.
- Identify potential institutional counterparties and ecosystem contacts within the crypto capital markets and FX space.
- Collaborate with founders and commercial teams to relay regional insights and support compliant market engagement.
- Develop regional market strategies by synthesizing intelligence on tokenized issuer treasury and custodian integrations.
- Work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Legal, and Compliance to close and scale complex institutional partnerships.
Requirements
- 8-12 years of experience in business development, market expansion, or institutional sales within fintech, payments, or crypto.
- Proven track record of driving institutional revenue and converting leads into live commercial relationships.
- Deep understanding of stablecoin settlement, institutional crypto market structure, FX, or custody.
- Experience operating across multiple African markets and navigating diverse regulatory, banking, and counterparty dynamics.
- Ability to operate in markets where VASP and digital asset regulations are actively evolving or enforced.
