What you will do

• Own the strategy, posture, and compliance with critical EU and UK frameworks including GDPR, DORA, and AML.
• Co-own IT security initiatives and governance, including ISO 27001 and future certifications like SOC2.
• Drive company strategy on AI governance and ensure compliance with the EU AI Act.
• Act as the primary point of contact for EU and UK regulatory developments affecting the business model.
• Manage regulatory filings for M&A strategy and ensure ongoing compliance with financial regulations like AIFMD and FATCA/CRS.
• Shape risk management strategy in collaboration with leadership and the General Counsel.

Requirements

• Completed law degree (J.D., LL.B./LL.M. or equivalent).
• 2-3 years of professional experience in compliance, risk, and regulatory matters, ideally in a regulated in-house environment.
• English proficiency (C1+) and German proficiency (B2+).
• Experience with cross-border, multi-entity company groups.
• Strong project management skills and affinity for IT security and engineering aspects.
• Ability to work in a fluid, fast-paced startup environment.
