What you will do

  • Define and evolve the creative vision for Credit Karma's owned channels, including email, push notifications, and in-app messaging.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team of creative directors, writers, designers, and content strategists.
  • Build unified creative systems that balance brand excellence with operational efficiency and personalization.
  • Collaborate with Lifecycle, Growth, and Data Science teams to translate business goals into creative strategies.
  • Scale AI-powered creative capabilities and automation tools to enhance storytelling.
  • Oversee external agencies and freelancers while leading executive-level creative reviews.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of creative leadership experience in technology, consumer, or financial services.
  • 5+ years of experience leading senior creative talent, including Creative Directors and Art Directors.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale owned channel ecosystems (CRM, lifecycle marketing, email).
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating strategic thinking and measurable business impact.
  • Experience with AI-powered creative and marketing technologies.
  • Must be based in or able to work from Oakland, California.

Nice to have

  • Experience in fintech, subscription, or digital-first businesses.
  • Expertise in retention and personalization frameworks.
  • Experience building in-house creative organizations for multiple business units.
  • Demonstrated success scaling AI-enabled workflows.
