Location: Hybrid (Austin, Chicago, DC, or NYC). In-office attendance is required on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday

Salary: $249,000 – $289,000

What you will do

• Own the quality, consistency, and polish bar across the entire consumer and payments experience.
• Lead and grow a small, tightly knit team of designers and researchers embedded in delivery pods.
• Architect cohesive design systems and frameworks across fragmented user journeys.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to integrate design into early discovery.
• Deepen the research practice and its integration into product decision-making.
• Apply an AI-native approach to scale design and research operations.

Requirements

• Deep consumer product design experience in fintech, marketplaces, or transaction-driven products.
• Proven track record of scaling a consumer app through hypergrowth (from ~3M to 10M+ MAU).
• Experience designing habit-forming systems focused on frequency, retention, and adoption.
• Strong systems-level thinking and ability to use data to prove UX impact.
• Experience leading design/research teams of 5–10 people and elevating individual craft.
• Must be based in or able to work from the Austin, Chicago, DC, or NYC offices.
