Senior Staff Fullstack Software Engineer (Golang)

Location: USA, Texas, Austin; flexible work-from-home policy. This role is not eligible for immigration sponsorship or relocation.

What you will do

• Architect and drive cross-engineering initiatives for hirify.global Data Services applications.
• Work with Product Managers to define requirements and translate them into technical designs.
• Produce high-fidelity design documentation, secure architectural sign-offs, and deliver scalable cloud-based services.
• Develop robust software with a focus on security, performance, and reliability.
• Collaborate with UI engineers, quality engineers, UX designers, Product Managers, SRE, Infosec, and external partners.
• Hire, mentor, and lead junior engineers while improving developer productivity and team agility.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience building scalable applications with Golang and Java.
• Hands-on experience with microservices, gRPC, REST, object-oriented programming, SQL and NoSQL databases, and messaging infrastructure.
• At least 5 years of development and production experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, or other enterprise-grade private-cloud platforms, plus Terraform.
• Understanding of enterprise networking for on-premise and private-cloud deployments, including VLANs, load balancers, VPNs, firewalls, and datacenter networking.
• Experience debugging connection problems and knowledge of TLS and PKI.
• Strong ownership, craftsmanship, communication skills, and bias for action.

Nice to have

• Experience implementing service meshes such as Istio.
• Experience with certification and compliance standards such as FedRAMP and CIS.
