Lead Full Stack Engineer (Senior Consultant, Engineering & Technical Services)

Location: Fully remote; candidates must reside in Alabama, California, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, or Virginia. The role may require occasional travel to client sites or company meetings. The listed location is Baltimore, Maryland, United States.

Salary: $120,588–$160,000 hiring range; overall salary range $120,588–$195,955, plus a discretionary performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Lead the architecture, design, development, and delivery of secure, scalable cloud-native applications for complex public-sector programs.
• Design and develop full-stack applications, RESTful APIs, microservices, system integrations, and distributed solutions.
• Establish architecture standards, development practices, engineering processes, and technical decision-making frameworks.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, architects, analysts, engineers, and government stakeholders to align technical solutions with business and project goals.
• Drive cloud and application modernization, DevSecOps adoption, infrastructure automation, CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, and production releases.
• Mentor engineers, conduct architecture and code reviews, troubleshoot production issues, and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience developing enterprise-scale applications.
• Experience as a Technical Lead, Lead Engineer, Solution Architect, or similar engineering leadership role.
• Strong full-stack development experience, including scalable architectures, APIs, microservices, and system integrations.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform; containerization; CI/CD; automated testing; DevSecOps; and relational or NoSQL databases.
• Experience leading code reviews, technical design discussions, Agile development, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting federal, state, or local government technology programs and regulated environments using frameworks such as FedRAMP, NIST, FISMA, or HIPAA.
• Experience with cloud or legacy application modernization, digital transformation, technical roadmaps, and solution architectures.
• Experience designing or deploying generative AI, intelligent automation, or retrieval-augmented generation capabilities.
• Public Trust, Secret, or other government security clearance experience.
• Experience with Section 508/WCAG accessibility standards and secure software development.
