Staff Full Stack Engineer (AI)

Location: United States — Remote

Salary: $184,000–$225,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, build, deploy, and operate full-stack features across customer-facing web applications and internal systems.
• Build systems from the ground up and expand the product surface area.
• Prototype quickly, test hypotheses, and harden validated prototypes for enterprise-scale use.
• Make architectural decisions for multi-layer distributed systems and own code quality and reliability in production.
• Shape engineering practices and technical direction as an early senior engineering voice.
• Support developer experience for AI-empowered contributors from non-engineering backgrounds.

Requirements

• Significant professional experience across frontend, backend, databases, and deployment.
• Experience building systems from scratch and operating them at scale.
• Experience deploying AI-augmented software systems to production and using agentic engineering tools.
• Ability to work independently with ambiguity, scope problems, and ship viable solutions quickly.
• Strong product instincts and commercial awareness.
• Effective collaboration with design, product, science, and business stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience in carbon, climate, or energy.
• Experience in regulated environments such as ISO 27001 or SOC 2.
• Experience building developer platforms, internal tools, or guardrails for non-specialist contributors.
