Learning Design & Development Specialist/Learning (Manufacturing)

Location: 100% remote within the United States; candidates must work EST hours from 8AM-5PM. The posting lists Rahway, NJ 07065.

What you will do

• Design and develop digital learning assets for a manufacturing writing eLearning series, including Vyond videos and Articulate Storyline modules.
• Turn high-level outlines, performance objectives, and subject matter expert input into complete learning narratives, scripts, visuals, and learner interactions.
• Write voiceover scripts, scenarios, and step-by-step guidance that show how learners apply concepts in real job situations.
• Translate complex, process-heavy content into clear, engaging, learner-friendly stories that reinforce practical application and key behaviors.
• Apply Mayer’s Principles of Multimedia Learning to reduce cognitive overload and align visuals with the message.
• Manage deliverables independently from intake through development, incorporating feedback and maintaining quality standards.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree and 1–3 years of experience in instructional design, content development, or learning experience design.
• Demonstrated experience using Vyond to create learning videos.
• Experience developing eLearning using Articulate Storyline.
• Ability to write clear, engaging scripts for video or eLearning, including voiceover, scenarios, and step-by-step guidance.
• Ability to break down complex content into structured, learner-friendly explanations and connect learning directly to on-the-job application.
• Understanding and application of instructional design principles, such as ADDIE, action mapping, and learning sciences.
• Demonstrated use of Mayer’s Principles to guide content design decisions, including reducing extraneous content and aligning visuals to the message.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and deliver high-quality work with minimal oversight.
• Strong collaboration skills when working with SMEs and stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience working in regulated environments such as GxP, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or quality.
