TL;DR
Field Services Engineer (Visitor Counting): Delivering on-site installation, configuration, maintenance, and repair of people counting hardware systems with an accent on sensors, IP networks, Wi-Fi technologies, and hardware troubleshooting. Focus on conducting site surveys, diagnosing issues under pressure, and ensuring health & safety compliance during field activities.
Location: Remote, position based in the UK. Requires clean valid UK driving license and travel to client sites across UK.
Salary: £30,000–£35,000 per annum plus company car, phone, and laptop.

What you will do
- Install, configure, and test hardware systems including people counting sensors and peripherals.
- Conduct site surveys for safe and efficient installations.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues on-site or remotely to minimize client downtime.
- Perform scheduled maintenance, system upgrades, and accurate documentation of service activities.
- Liaise with internal teams for project coordination and escalations.
- Participate in weekend on-call rotation for remote support.
Requirements
- Clean, valid driving license (essential).
- Experience in field-based technical support, installations, and working at heights.
- Strong knowledge of IP networks, Wi-Fi technologies, Microsoft Windows, and MS Office.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair hardware issues.
- Excellent planning, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Based in the UK; prepared to work out of hours.
Nice to have
- Certifications (IPAF, CSCS, PASMA).
- Experience in heritage sector and listed buildings.
